Arthur S. Urffer, Sr., 90, husband of Miriam R. (Miller) Urffer, of Cassel Road, Coopersburg, died on August 10, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospice Center, Allentown, PA. He and his wife were married 64 years last September.

Born in Coopersburg, RD #2, PA, he was the son of the late Claude and Stella (Heimbach) Urffer.
He was a self employed, family owned crop and dairy farmer for 40 years and then was employed by Sunny Acres Farm in Coopersburg for 20 years. He was a member of Trinity Great Swamp United Church of Christ, Spinnerstown and a life member of the Lower Milford Fire Co.

Surviving along with his wife are 6 children, Sallie Urffer of Santa Fe, NM, Linda Datesman of Coopersburg, PA, Betty, wife of Robert Hummel of Coopersburg, PA, Arthur Urffer, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Coopersburg, PA, Debra, wife of Clyde Dennis Hoch of Pennsburg, PA and Michael Urffer and wife, Lisa of Coopersburg, PA; a brother, Russell Urffer and wife, Anne of Lansdale, PA; 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Rev. Robert Urffer and 3 sisters, Helen Klausfelder, Evelyn Weiss and Ada Weiss.

A Graveside Memorial Service and Interment will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Trinity Great Swamp Cemetery, 9150 Spinnerstown Road, Spinnerstown, PA with the Rev. Susan W. Ellis officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
