Obituary for Norma P. Reichenbach-Nichols

Norma P.  Reichenbach-Nichols
Norma P. Reichenbach-Nichols, 63 of Alburtis, PA passed away on January 17, 2018 at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Hospice Center in Allentown, PA. She was the beloved wife of James S. Nichols. They were married on August 27, 1988.

Norma was born in Phoenixville, PA on March 13, 1954 to the late Norman and Phyllis (Hillegass) Reichenbach.

Norma graduated from Spring-Ford High School in 1972 and from Kutztown University in 1976 and earned her Master’s Degree in Art Education from Kutztown University in 2011.

"Ms.R" was the art teacher at Hereford Elementary School in the Upper Perkiomen School District from 1998 until her retirement in 2017. She was the founder of the Hereford Quilters, an after-school club of 4th and 5th graders who made quilts and teddy bears that were given to various community groups. Prior to her teaching career she worked at Upper Perkiomen Child Care Center in Pennsburg, PA.

In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by her brother Lloyd H. Reichenbach, husband of Wendy, Coatesville, PA and sisters Lucinda M. Yorgey, wife of Karl, Boyertown, PA and Lydia F. Reichenbach wife of Richard Maure, Boston, MA, as well as her uncle, Joseph Reichenbach of Bel Air, MD. She is also survived by the four-legged loves of her life, her German Shepherd Sadie, and cats Lucy and Navi.

She was the loving "cool aunt" to nephews Nathan, Timothy and Mark Yorgey and Alec Maure and nieces Ashley Kopp and Devon Reichenbach as well as her dear great nieces Olivia, Hannah, Katherine and Grace Yorgey and Madelyn Kopp and great nephews Timothy, Joshua, Liam, Grant, Josiah, Micah, and Daniel Yorgey and Dylan Kopp. She was predeceased by her great niece Isabel Yorgey.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Morning Star Fellowship, 100 Limekiln Rd, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Sympathy may be extended to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
