Obituary for Carl Bardman

Carl  Bardman
Carl Bardman, 86, of Green Lane, PA, passed away, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Marion E. (Snook) Bardman celebrating 60 years of marriage on June 29, 2017.

Born in Green Lane, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary (Frederick) Bardman.

He was a 1949 graduate of East Greenville High School then served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War.

Carl was a Partner of ESI in Pennsburg for many years before retiring. Prior to that he was a partner in Hutt’s Glass in Gilbertsville for many years. He also co-owned Bardman Brothers Greenhouses and had worked at Penn Allen Glass Company in Allentown.

He served on the Upper Perkiomen School Board for 12 years and held memberships in many local and national organizations.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumneytown. He was a life member of the NRA and a member of the American Legion in Sonestown, PA.

Surviving along with his wife are three children, Craig L. Bardman and wife, Patricia of Green Lane, Christine R., wife of Jeffrey McConnell, MD of Allentown and Dean A. Bardman of Barto and eight grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Cameron, Curt, Collin, Marcy, Brittany and Abby. Along with his parents he is predeceased by 8 brothers and 6 sisters.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown, PA 18084 with the Rev. Rebecca Schanely officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. A private burial will be held in Frieden’s Union Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
