Obituary for Steven L. "Stevie" Schoenly

Steven L. "Stevie" Schoenly
Steven L. Schoenly, 59, of Red Hill, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Upper Perkiomen Manor in Red Hill.

Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late John Schoenly, Sr. and Dorothy C. (Arms) Pfautz and the step son of James E. Pfautz of East Greenville.

Steven worked for MOPAC in Souderton for eight years and also helped a friend at his garage for many years.

He loved working on cars and was known as a handy man, he could fix anything. He also loved children. He was always excited when one of his nieces or nephews would come to see him. Before his health issues got in the way one of his favorite things to do was babysit for his friends and family. He was extremely selfless and loved helping others when ever possible. He never liked sitting still. He always felt like he needed to be doing something or helping someone. He was a light hearted person that always knew how to cheer someone up.

Surviving along with his step-father are his brothers, Tom Schoenly, John Schoenly, Jr. and wife, Margaret, Ronald Schoenly and wife, Ellen and Gregory Schoenly and companion, Wendy; nephews, Daniel, Josh, Nick, Jonathan and Robbie; nieces, Megan and Heather; great-nephews, Isaac and Johnny; and great nieces, Evelyn and Braylynn.

In addition to his father and mother, he is predeceased by a niece, Lindsay.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Matthew Ollikainen officiating. Burial follows in Christ Union Cemetery-Niantic. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
