Obituary for Alexander M. McCloskey Jr.

Alexander M. McCloskey, Jr., of Barto and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the husband of Regina M. (Walker) McCloskey celebrating 25 years of marriage in October.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son to Alexander M. McCloskey and step-son to the late MaryAnne McCloskey and a son to Estelle “Trudy” (Kaiser) Miller and step-son to Joseph Miller.

Alex loved being outdoors. He enjoyed running, jogging and fishing with his son, Noah.
He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Surviving along with his wife, are a son, Noah A. McCloskey of Barto and formerly of Philadelphia; a sister, Colleen A., wife of Frank Haigh of Philadelphia; two brothers, James J. McCloskey of Plymouth Meeting and Timothy P. McCloskey and wife, Christie of Philadelphia; a step-brother, Christopher Wingert and wife, Kimberly of Willow Street; a step-sister, Michelle, wife of William Weber of Lititz and 12 nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Most Blessed Sacarament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally PA 19503 with Father Adam Sedar officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville is in charge of the arrangements. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
