Obituary for Eleanor M. Miller (Ziegler)
Eleanor M. (Ziegler) Miller, 82, widow of Edwin C. Miller, of Barto, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at home.
Born in Trexlertown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lillian (Schmidt) Ziegler.
Eleanor was a Senior Food Preparation Specialist for E & M Wholesale Food in Boyertown for the past 14 years recently working through October. Prior to that, she was employed at both Great American Knitting Mills for many years and Quigley Bus Service as a bus driver for 18 years.
She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Bally where she was one of the beginning organizers of the school bazaar and also volunteered with bingo, the carnival and the fish fry. She was also one of the founding members of the Bally Girl Scout Troop in 1965.
Surviving are her three daughters, LuAnne, wife of Leo Frank of Barto, JoAnne “Dodie”, wife of James Heffner of Bechtelsville and Carol, wife of Linwood Heffner of Barto; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Patrick, Stacey, Jaclyn, Nathan, Shannon and Caitlin; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19503 with Father Adam Sedar officiating. Burial follows in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Offer sympathy to the family on our website at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
