Obituary for Betty M Gery
Betty Mae Gery, 79, formerly of Palm and Pennsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Valley Manor Nursing Home. She was the longtime companion of the late Mary Jane Daley.
Born in East Greenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Florence M. (Badman) and John M. Gery, Sr.
Betty worked at Harleysville Insurance Company for 43 years retiring in 1998.
She was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a brother, Larry R. Gery and his wife, Debbie of Port Orange, FL; and two nieces, Michelle Bright of Barto and Marcia Miller of Elkins Park; and their families. Along with her companion and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, John M. Gery, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville with the Rev. Dr. Tyson L. Frey officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
