Jason Anthony Shellaway, 40, of Gilbertsville, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 in his home.

Known to most as “Daddy”, Jason leaves behind a rich legacy of laughter and love. Never one to miss a fun time, he collected many affectionate friends and admirers throughout his life. With his charismatic nature and benevolent heart he was a rare find. He spent his free time taking it easy with family and friends, providing unsolicited advice to Philadelphia sports teams, cooking up incredible BBQ with his competition barbeque team the “Napkin Killers” and playing in a golf league at Twin Ponds Golf Course. He will be affectionately remembered by many as “one of the best”.

He graduated from Boyertown Area High School in 1993 and worked as a Realtor at Keller Williams Realty Group in Limerick and as a Salesman for Shellaway Auto Sales in Green Lane.

Jason was the loving husband of Kyle L. (Rothenberger) Shellaway celebrating 10 years of marriage on July 9th and the devoted father of Peyton C. Shellaway and Drew A. Shellaway. He was the adored son of Anthony C. Shellaway, husband of Sandra (Wieand) of Pennsburg and Audrey (Heacock), wife of J. Elliott Davis of Aurora, Ohio; and beloved brother of Jessica L. Hillegass and husband, Kyle of Trappe, Chad Davis and wife, Shannon of Boyertown, Katelyn A. Shellaway of Conshohocken and Brett A. Davis of Tucson; paternal step-grandmother, Jane Wieand of Pennsburg; his mother and father-in-law, Barbara A. (Hartman) and Eugene L. Rothenberger of Gilbertsville and several nieces and nephews and countless cherished friends. Jason was predeceased by a sister, Corinne M. Davis and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at St. Philip Neri Church 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
