Obituary for Edwin R. P. "Ed" Mory
Edwin R. P. “Ed” Mory, 75, of Macungie, widower of Diann H. (Binder) Mory, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at his residence.
Born on a farm in Lanark, PA, he was a son of the late Edwin P.D. and Minnie (Rothrock) Mory.
Edwin was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ and was also a member of the MORA Club.
He was employed by Bally Case and Cooler for 23 years, and Hess Brothers for ten years, until his retirement.
Surviving are two his children, Dwayne Mory of Macungie and Renee Savacool of Mertztown, PA; two sisters, Ruth, wife of Robert Stocker of Center Valley and Darlene, wife of Larry Kuhns of Florida; four grandchildren, Nicole Miller, Ronald Savacool, III, Brandon Savacool and Justin Mory; and one great-granddaughter, Camren Brown. Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by four siblings, Henry and Edwin “Buddy” Mory; Mae Dreher and Joyce Boardman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Pennsburg United Church of Christ, 755 Main Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with the Rev. Debra Timmins officiating. Burial follows in church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 am until 11 am at the church, prior to the service.
