Joan Catherine  Hendershot (Farnschlader)
Joan Catherine (Farnschlader) Hendershot, 84, wife of Raymond J. Hendershot, of Pennsburg, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Phoebe-Richland.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter to the late Clement and Anna (Pammer) Farnschlader.

Joan graduated in 1949 from Allentown Central Catholic High School.

She loved music and enjoyed playing sax, clarinet and singing professionally in a combo band, Three Girls and a Guy.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years are two sons, Bradley Hendershot and his significant other, Katharine Krieg of East Greenville and Douglas Hendershot of Horsham; one sister, Loretta, wife of Robert Beahm of Lititz; one grandson, Jonathan Hendershot and one great-grandson, Damien Frombach.

A funeral service will be held 11 am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery in East Greenville. There will be a visitation from 10 am until 11am Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests no flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
