Raymond was an extraordinary man who made the world a better place throughout his life. He was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also an inspiration, mentor, friend and so much more to everyone who knew him. He did whatever it took to make dreams come true for his family members.

He followed his passion for fly fishing and founded Raymond C. Rumpf & Son fly tackle distribution in 1969. He was an industry pioneer and went on to become a legend in fly fishing. He traded furs as part of the business and was well known as “the old fur guy” in Ferndale, PA.
In his retirement, Raymond enjoyed fishing in bass tournaments, competing in the World Series Poker tournament in Las Vegas, NV, winters in his home in sunny south Florida and spending time with his family. He had a passion for reading, the stock market and travel. Raymond and his wife Judy enjoyed traveling the country exploring historic sites, national landmarks and Civil War battlefields. They just finished their most recent trip of over 9000 miles in just the past month and would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on August 16th this year.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Judith Rumpf; sisters, Joan Wilhelm, Barbara Gebhart; brother Michael Sylvester; children Amy Watson, Cindy Novack and Raymond Charles Rumpf, Jr. (Tipper); grandchildren, Kayleigh Graff, Cory Watson, Christine Novack, Jennifer Novack, Sydney Rumpf and Raymond Charles Rumpf, III (Charlie) and great grandchild Emily Graff.
