Nancy Lee (Diehl) Hoffmeister, 74, of Barto, widow of John C. Hoffmeister, Sr., passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Health - Cedar Crest.
Born in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Bernard B. and Martha “Dolly” (Evans) Diehl.
Nancy enjoyed woodworking and furniture building and loved to fish, go camping and write poetry.
She was a loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her two children, John C. Hoffmeister, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Barto and Tammy Lee, wife of Nathan Amato of Macungie; half-brothers, Gary Diehl of Sarasota, FL and Dale Diehl of North Carolina; half-sister, Tonie Diehl of Sarasota, FL; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Diehl and a sister, Patricia Ann Beatty.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA., with Rev. Richard Goodman officiating. There will be a viewing from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Huff’s Church cemetery following the service.
