Obituary for Jane C. Wetzel (Zepp)

Jane C.  Wetzel (Zepp)
Jane C. (Zepp) Wetzel, 85, wife of Robert E. Wetzel, of Elizabethtown and formerly of Allentown and the Upper Perkiomen Valley, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.

Born in Red Hill, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Maggie (Harpel) Zepp.

She worked at American Olean Tile, Green Lane Hosiery Mill and was a production worker for several years before retiring from Philco Ford of Lansdale.

Jane was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bath, PA, the Red Hat Society and was a 50 year member of the Perkiomen Chapter #318 Order of the Eastern Star.

She loved being at home raising her children and grandchildren and knitting.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years, is a son, Rev. Jay R. Wetzel and his wife, Jill A. of Bath, PA; siblings, Doris Brendlinger of Frederick; Grace Schultz of Pennsburg; and Charles Zepp and his wife, Agnes, Pennsburg; six granddaughters, Lauren, Megan, Kristen, Jennifer, Melissa and Hope; and four great-grandchildren, Cole, Marcus, Emma, and Robert. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Alan C. Wetzel and his wife, Rosanne Glod; and siblings, Sara Stevens, Margaret Marks, Blanche Fries and Jim Zepp.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, preceded by an Eastern Star Service at 11:45 am on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Jay R. Wetzel officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:30 am to 11:45 am, Monday at the funeral home. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
