Obituary for Dolores C. Alderfer (Gross)
Dolores C. (Gross) Alderfer, 82, widow of the late Robert R. Alderfer, of Pennsburg, died on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.
Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Gross and Ruth (Cassel) Gross Gilbert and the step-daughter of the late Alvin G. Gilbert.
Dolores worked as a custodian and did laundry for Souderton School District for over 20 years and was a life-long member of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Souderton. She loved to read and crochet.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sharon L. Price and husband, Kevin of Pennsburg, and her three granddaughters, ReBecca, Vanessa and Sarah. Along with her husband, parents and step-father, Dolores was predeceased by a son, Brian K. Alderfer.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
