Obituary for John S. Wentz

John S. Wentz, 97, of Palm, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Clara Burke Nursing Home in Plymouth Meeting, PA. He was the husband of Verna M. (Kemmerer) Wentz. They celebrated 74 years of marriage on June 21, 2014.

Born in Quakertown, PA, he was a son of the late Paul and Carrie (Taylor) Wentz.

John was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.

He was a farmer and was the owner of the former Wentz Farm Supplies in Palm, PA from 1951 until his retirement.

He was a member of Trinity Great Swamp United Church of Christ in Spinnerstown, PA and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of Rail Lake Hunting Club in northern Quebec and Snake Hill Hunting Club in Milford, PA. He and his wife loved to travel and they spent many winters at their home in the Dominican Republic.

Surviving along with his wife, Verna are his daughter, Linda M. (Wentz) Loranger and her husband, Michael of Hornby, Ontario; three grandchildren, Kain Wentz, Gabrielle Vogel, and John Loranger; and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Larry J. Wentz.
