Obituary for Grace B. Stahler (Barto)
Grace B. (Barto) Stahler, 95, widow of Herman L. Stahler, formerly of Washington St, East Greenville, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late A. Herbert and Louisa (Barto) Barto.
She was an honorary graduate of East Greenville High School, class of 1936. Grace had her own sewing business in her home for many years. Her many sewing talents included bridal gowns to upholstering furniture.
Grace was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ of East Greenville and the East Greenville Fire Company Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Surviving is a daughter, Sylvia K., wife of Barry K. Wilson of Emmaus. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Earl and Clarence Barto, Bertha Hefelfinger, Mildred Slonaker, Marian Hoesterey and Ruth Wolf.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Michael D. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery, East Greenvillle. There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a. m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
