Obituary for Theresa B. Kautz (Schmidt)

Theresa B. (Schmidt) Kautz, 98, widow of Paul F. E. Kautz, formerly of East Norriton for 44 years and then Pennsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Pennsburg Manor.

Born in Perkasie, PA, she was a daughter of the late Heinrich and Clara (Bade) Schmidt.

She worked in the Cafeteria at the Norristown Area High School for 20 years retiring in 1974.

Surviving is a daughter, Rosemarie A., wife of the late Eugene Hitchcock of Pennsburg; two grandchildren, Holly H. Barnes and husband, David of Barto and Glenn P. Hitchcock and wife, Karen of Pennsburg; and two great-grandchildren, Sarah J. and Carly R. Hitchcock. Along with her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Karl and two sisters, Hattie and Martina.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. William A. Vanderslice officiating. Burial follows in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
