Obituary for Marie A. Jacob (Yerger)
Marie A. (Yerger) Jacob, 93, wife of the late Paul L. Jacob, of Alburtis, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in Manatawny Manor.
Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Bauer) Yerger.
She worked as a Shear Operator for the former Bally Case & Cooler. Prior to that she worked at the former Rosenau Mfg. Co of Red Hill.
Marie was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Gilbertsville Fire Co.
Surviving are her children, James F. Jacob and wife, Debra of Burns, WY; Ruth A. Gamler and husband, David of Barto; siblings, Paul Yerger and wife, Minnie of Auburn and Anna Force of East Greenville; seven grandchildren, Theresa, Julie and Steven Gamler and James, Paul, Michael and Kevin Jacob and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Robert and James Yerger.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19503 with Monsignor Edward J. Coyle officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 7, 2014 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 and also from 10 to10:45 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the church prior to the mass. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, PO Box C, Bally, PA 19503.
