William R. Solivan, 63, of Boyertown, formerly of the Upper Perkiomen Valley, passed away on September 21, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospice.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Edward J. Leitgeb of Boyertown and the late Jeannette E. (Strohl) Leitgeb.
Bill worked at the former Pillsbury Plant in East Greenville and then for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a 1972 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School where he played baseball and pitched a “No
Hitter” game. After high school he played and managed the Upper Perk Chiefs baseball team for many years and loved sports, playing cards and going to the horse races.
Surviving along with his father are two sisters, Jan, widow of Dale Gaumer of Schuylkill Haven and Kelly, wife of Richard Schwenk of Boyertown and a brother, Scott Leitgeb and his wife, Lisa of Sebastian, Florida. A sister, Gail Asselin predeceased him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
