William G. Humlhanz, Jr., 72, of Pennsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 20, 2019 in York, PA. He was the loving husband of Bernadette P. (Wackley) Humlhanz sharing 48 years of marriage together.
Born in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of the late William G. and Nellie (Burrell) Humlhanz, Sr.
Bill was a graduate of Central Bucks High School and a Veteran of the United States Army where he served his country proudly during Vietnam.
He worked on production at Hatfield Quality Meats for over 20 years before retiring in 2013.
Bill was known for his volunteerism; such as making himself available to drive people to the voting polls and honoring veterans in the burial detail at funerals. He was also an avid auto racing fan, affiliated with Pennsylvania Sprint Car Racing for many years.
Surviving along with his wife are his son, William G. Humlhanz, III and his granddaughter, Brianne V. Humlhanz. He was preceded in death by his son Andrew J. “AJ” Humlhanz.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, May 2nd at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940 where the military will honor his service to his Country. Following the memorial service, a celebration of life will be held at the Forrest Lodge VFW Hall, 2118 Old Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville, PA 18960 at 3:30 PM. Cremation services entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
