William Aungst

William J. “Bill” Aungst, 77, married to Janet L. (Sterner) Snyder of Pennsburg, died, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at home.
Born in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Ralph E. and May (Hadley) Aungst.
He was a quality control inspector for many companies last retiring in 2000 from Federolf Corporation. After retirement he worked part-time at Skate Around Roller Rink where he enjoyed roller skating and working. He was an avid horseback rider and loved hunting, fishing and a love of animals. He also volunteered as a fire police for the Harleysville Fire Company. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving his country from 1953 to 1957.
Surviving along with his wife are children, David, Karen, Keith and Wanda wife of Francis Broskoskie; a sister, Diane Schaffer and husband, Norman; three grandchildren, Valerie, Heather and Mark; brother-in-law, Alan and wife, Judy; a sister-in-law, Donna and husband, Clair.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph “Bud” and two sisters, Nanette and Patricia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Upper Milford Mennonite Church, Zionsville, PA with the Rev. Timothy Weaver officiating. A visitation will be from 11 to 12 p.m. in the church. Interment will be private. The arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
