Born in Philadelphia at Chestnut Hill Hospital, he was the son of the late Theodore and Thelma Braxton..
He was a United States Mail Carrier retiring in 1995 and was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Ambler, PA.
He was a 33rd Degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Ambler, PA.
Surviving along with his wife are two step children, Amy Worthington and husband, Scott of Red Hill and Matthew Holliday and wife Patricia of Harleysville, PA; a sister, Ianther Joell of Ambler, PA; four grandchildren, Brittany and Joey Worthington and Nathan and Lauren Holliday; a nephew, Derek Joell and Tiffany.
