Wayne L. Brinckman, 86, husband of Elizabeth M. (Poatsy) Brinckman, of Wasser Road, Pennsburg, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospice Center, Allentown. He and his wife celebrated 58 years of marriage on June 16, 2009.
Born in Hoppenville, PA, he was a son of the late Charles and Blanche (Kline) Brinckman.
He worked for Knoll, Inc., East Greenville for over 35 years retiring as an Assembly Supervisor in 1989.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
Wayne was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg. He was also a member of the Owl’s Nest #1302, East Greenville and the American Legion Post #184, East Greenville.
Surviving along with his wife are four sons, Carey A. Brinckman and wife, Theresa of East Greenville, Kevin W. Brinckman and wife, Sandra of Zionsville, Glenn A. Brinckman and wife, Deborah of Glastonbury, CT and Mark D. Brinckman and wife, Nancy of Zionsville; three brothers, Stanley Brinckman of East Greenville, Leonard Brinckman and wife, June of East Greenville and Raymond Brinckman and wife, Sally of Bloomsburg and 10 grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Charles Brinckman.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. A viewing was held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday evening and also 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, Inc., 222 Washington Street, East Greenville.
