Warren “Stan” S. Schott, 84, widower of Nancy R. (Gilbert) Schott, of Barto, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem.
Born in Hereford Township, he was the son of the late Warren H. and Dorothy (Kranzley) Schott.
He was a graduate of East Greenville High School. Stan worked as a parts manager for Morris Berman for 40+ years and then later worked for Hampton Brothers Truck Repair until 2015. He was also a faithful member of Huff’s Union Church in Alburtis.
Stan served his country as a sergeant in the United States Army.
He enjoyed playing baseball for the Seisholtzville Fire Company and researching Hereford Township history for Huff’s Church 250th anniversary.
Surviving him are his daughter, Deborah A. Schott, companion of Larry L. Kriebel of Emmaus; a sister, Grace Gilbert of Boyertown and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Jean Shaner.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Huff’s Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA 18011 with Rev. Jane Moffet Kropa officiating. Burial follows in Huff’s Union Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
