Walter E. Hunsberger, 86, of Quakertown, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Mary Ellen (Kneller) Hunsberger, sharing 67 years of marriage together.
Born in Richlandtown, PA on July 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mildred (Hardcastle) Hunsberger.
Walter was a graduate of Quakertown High School and then honorably served his country in the United States Army. Walter was a Philadelphia Union Carpenter, working for W.M. Moyer Company in Quakertown for many years before retiring.
He was a member the Philly Carpenter Local 167 and enjoyed time woodworking or gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Tye Hunsberger, Tom Hunsberger and wife, Marlene and Pat Tuttle and husband, Mike; three grandchildren, Emily Hunsberger, Cody Hunsberger and Nicole Glaser and husband, Dave; and two great-grandchildren, Evan and Avery Glaser.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by brothers, Samuel and Tim Hunsberger.
