W. Michael Bessinger, 51, of Pennsburg, died on August 11, 2010 in Grand View Hospital. He was the loving husband of Barbara L. (Scheid) Bessinger.
Born in Abington, PA, he was a son of Raymond Bessinger of Telford and Sandra (Brill) Dwyer of Lansdale.
Mike was last working as a maintenance supervisor for Pilgrim’s Pride, Franconia, PA. He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening. He was an avid outdoorsman of all sorts.
Along with his wife and parents he is survived by a brother, Steve Bessinger of Lansdale; four step-children, Denise Culley and husband Bill of Birdsboro, William Hess of East Greenville, Dennis Hess and wife Missy of Green Lane and Russell James Hess and wife Christen of Austin, TX; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville with the Rev. James R. Roth officiating followed by a funeral luncheon in the Fellowship Hall of the church. There is no calling hour prior to the service.
