Virginia Mensch

Virginia G. (Specht) Mensch, 85 died June 12, 2010 at Reading hospital. She was the widow of Harold K. Mensch. Born in Pennsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Ella H. (Zeiler) Specht.

Virginia was a loving mother and caregiver to her family. Having been a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Virginia dedicated her time, energy, and efforts wherever they were needed. She also contributed a great deal of time to the Developmental Activities Center, Kulpsville, PA. She was on the custodial staff for many years, at the Upper Perkiomen School District.

Surviving are two sons, Gary L. Mensch and wife, Lynda N. of Reading, PA and Kevin S. Mensch and wife, Kelly J. of Emmaus, PA; a brother Harold "Gundy" R. Specht and wife, Virginia of Gilbertsville, PA; three grandchildren, Michael A. Mensch, Ashley L. McManus and Kacie M. McManus. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold K. Mensch; two sons, Ronald and Donald Mensch; and a brother, Roy J. Specht.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Church and Frye Roads, Red Hill, PA with Rev. William A. Vanderslice officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church.
