Violet F. (Moyer) Stottlemire, 89, wife of the late William A. “Bill” Stottlemire, of Allentown and formerly of East Greenville, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Luther Crest.
Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Lizzie (Schuler) Moyer.
She was a graduate of East Greenville High School and worked as a production worker for 30 years for the former Pillsbury Co, retiring in the 1980’s. Violet loved spending time with family and friends, vacationing in Gananoque, Canada, wintering in Lake Wales, FL and visiting as many lighthouse as possible.
Violet was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ of East Greenville.
Surviving are her daughters, Valerie A. Craig and husband, R. Scott of Tucson, AZ and Sylvia Stottlemire-Dempsey and husband, Edward of Barto, PA; brother, Victor Moyer, Jr. of Boyertown, PA; and three grandchildren, Matthew Craig of Oregon; Alison Craig of OH and Lizzie Stottlemire-Dempsey of Chicago, IL. She was predeceased by her siblings, Warren and Ernest Moyer and Marie Livingstone.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery, East Greenville. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
