Viola H. “Honey” (Miller) Kavacky, 89, wife of Joseph P. Kavacky, formerly of Sumneytown, passed away, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Frederick Living.
Born in Pennsburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Helen F. (Wentling) Miller.
She was a 1945 graduate of Pennsburg High School and was a Postal Clerk in Pennsburg and Red Hill for 41 years until her retirement in 1986.
Honey was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg and was a proud member of the Upper Perkiomen Business and Professional Women’s Club for over 60 years.
She loved the company of family and friends and also enjoyed her hobby of entering contests and sweepstakes, winning quite a few prizes over the years.
Surviving along with her husband of 64 years, are two daughters, Joann C., wife of Jon Chandler of East Greenville, PA and Trina C., wife of David Terne of West Hartford, CT; three grandsons, Benjamin Chandler, Samuel Chandler, and Alexander Terne; a brother, Lester Miller and wife, Faith; two sisters, Rose Gaugler and Susan Reiter; and beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, Robert, Charles, and James Miller; and two sisters, Pearl Wright and Betty Wright.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
