Timothy Warren Harper passed away on the 2nd of December 2019, after a brave battle with cancer. Tim died at home in Green Lane surrounded by family.
Tim was born on the 16th of September, 1949 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was the son of Jack Warren Harper and Mary Lou DeVee. Tim was a long time resident of Green Lane, married to Elaine Porter Poulson Harper for the past 25 years. He was the father of Ian and Douglas, and stepfather of LeeAnn, John and Dawn. Tim was the proud grandfather and “pops” to Preston, Hudson, Natalie, Jamie, Damian, Tina, Hannah, M’Lynn, Benjamin, and Gabriella. As well as great grandfather to Tempe and Fae. He is also survived by siblings Thomas, Linda, Kathrine, identical twin James and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tim graduated Ann Arbor High School in 1968 and attended Eastern Michigan University. Tim retired from Honeywell and also worked at Penn Engineering, Lancer, and Lorain County Community College. Tim was a history/genealogy buff, a member of “The Sons of the American Revolution”, and proud to have had a direct ancestor at Valley Forge. Tim was a 32 degree Freemason, as well as an avid deer hunter, conservationist, environmentalist, and a member of a hunting club in Michigan. He had a love of traveling and seeing the world. Tim was a keen observer of American politics, he was very patriotic and dedicated to our American Republic.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Barry Moyer officiating.
