Thomas C. “Tom” Welsh, 82, beloved husband of Martha “Marty” (Radzai) Welsh, of Red Hill died on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at his home. He and his wife celebrated 55 years of marriage this year.
Born in Philadelphia on June 11, 1929, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Isabella M. (Yoos) Welsh.
He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg and was U.S. Army Veteran, stationed in Germany during 1951 to 1953. He was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and oldies songs were his favorite especially Frank Sinatra.
Surviving along with his wife are his children, Lisa M. Held, Thomas S. Welsh, Valarie M. (Pat) Petrozzo and Karen A. (Jim) Bozzelli; brother, Joseph Welsh; grandson, Scott (Christine) Casper; and dearest great grandson, Anthony Casper; eight additional grandchildren and five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Welsh.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with Rev. John Nguyen officiating. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at church.
