Sylvester Hoffman

August 23, 1924 — April 26, 2020

Sylvester R. Hoffman, 95, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of the late Eileen (Edwards) Hoffman, sharing 62 years of marriage together before her passing in 2009.

Born in Hatboro, he was the son of the late Frank and Kathryn Hoffman.

He enjoyed having his yard sales at every summer holiday season-especially selling lawn mowers. His favorite pastime was enjoying all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that visited him regularly. One thing on his regular schedule was morning coffee at The Country Chef restaurant with all early morning folks.

Surviving are his son, Sylvester “Bart” Hoffman and wife, Christine; five grandchildren, Matthew Hoffman, Wade Hoffman, Kristle Smith, Dolores McMillen and Tammy Kratz; and 10 great-grandchildren, Alec, Alyssa, Alivia, Austin, Logan, Noah, Makenna, Madison, Brayden and Bryce.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Linda Simpson.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances presented by the COVID-19, Sylvester’s service will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Wasihington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Offer condolences to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com
