Stella T. (Dykie) Roney, 93, widow of John Joseph Roney, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Perkiomenville, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Tara) Dykie.
Stella was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg, where she was very active in the church.
She had been on a roller-skating team at Ringing Rocks in Pottstown, enjoyed her bowling team and the Indian Valley Country Club Golf Team.
Stella enjoyed baking pies for family and friends, dancing at Sunnybrook Ballroom in Pottstown and spending time with her Cat, Oreo.
Surviving is her daughter, Carol A. Bradley of Perkiomenville, a sister, Anna Hoffman of Frederick and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 5 siblings, John, George and Peter; Kathrine Kerivel, and Genevieve Husted.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1359 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Pennsburg. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
