Stanley Stelmach, 82, of Doerr Road, Quakertown, died April 23, 2012 at Grand View Hospital. He was the husband of Pauline (Schwenk) Stelmach, recently celebrating 56 years of marriage on April 14th.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Matuszak) Stelmach.
He worked as a Clerk at Benner’s Hardware Store in Quakertown for 58 years retiring in 2008. He was an avid hunter and was a longtime member of Dyer Hunting and Fishing Club in Potter County.
Surviving along with his wife are a daughter, Rosemarie, wife of Stephen Rush of Pennsburg; two grandchildren, Matthew Rush and wife, Melissa of Green Lane and Heather, wife of Michael Kauffman of Pottstown; two great grandchildren, Courtney and Lyndsey Rush; and a sister, Anna Stelmach of Horsham. Along with his parents he is predeceased by brothers and sisters, Joseph, Mary, Helena and John Stelmach and Genevieve Griffith.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Kathy D. Yoder officiating. Interment follows in West Swamp Mennonite Cemetery, Quakertown. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday at the funeral home.
