Stanley Richard, 79, of Hereford, PA passed away on Sunday, July 13 at Lehigh Valley Hospice.
Born in Gilbertsville, PA, he was a son of the late Benjamin F. and Gergie (Nester) Richard.
He worked for 50 years as a cast iron molder for Keystone Foundry in Pottstown and then Unicast Co. in Boyertown, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Hereford and Bally Gun Club, and the Bally Firehouse.
Surviving are 4 children, Donald P. Richard of Millsboro, DE; Damian S. Richard of Harbeson, DE; Duane J. Richard of Hereford; and Derek J. Richard of Lewes, DE; a sister, Arline Weidner, of Boyertown; Edith Ellwanger and husband, John C., of Pottstown; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a son, David A. Richard; siblings, Eden Richard; Arlis Thomas and Pearl Quay; step-brother, Kenneth Richard; and a brother-in-law, Earl Weidner.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville. Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Boyertown.
