Shirley A. (Heffley) Schatz, 79, of Harleysville, widow of Donald J. Schatz, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at St. Mary’s Manor in Lansdale.
Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Helen (Brightbill) and Mark Heffley, Sr.
She worked for the former American Olean Tile in Lansdale, then drove a school bus for over ten years before retiring. She loved gardening.
Shirley is survived by two children, Brenda Notoris of Doylestown and Dean Schatz of York and a granddaughter, Ashley Notoris Smith and her husband, Ryan. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Mark Heffley, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Elaine Ely officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 until 11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.
