Sherel “Butch” Burks, 65, husband of Caroline (Compton) Burks of Pottsville, formerly of Boyertown, died March 26, 2013. He was a son of the late Raymond Burks and Helen (Nester) and Harold Letterhouse.
He worked 25 years at Knoll.
Survivors: wife; children, Clinton, Renee, Stephanie, Sean; step-children, Jody, Thomas, Jeffrey; siblings, Donald, Rose, Linnie; grandchildren; great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday at New Goshenhoppen UCC. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 11 am until 12 Noon Saturday at the Church. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
