Ruth (Pocius) Talacki, 93, formerly of Huntington Valley and Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her Bechtelsville home. She was the wife of Peter Talacki, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Dominic and Kunigunda (Prinivich) Pocius. Ruth was a 1945 graduate of East Greenville High School. She was wife, mother, homemaker and in later years worked for a tax accountant.
Ruth was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God, Wyncote, PA and more recently of Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. She loved singing in the church choir. Ruth will be remembered as an entertainer, faithful friend, giver of gifts, party maker, and enjoyed cooking ethnic food, holding special family events and traveling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Phyllis Buckley and her husband Gregory of Kingston, NH; Roberta “Bobbi” Kasitz and her husband Philip, of Bechtelsville; Esther Dunn and her husband Randall, of Fresno, TX; sister-in-law, Katherine Pocius, of Quakertown; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Edward and Ruth’s twin brother John; twin sisters, Anna Studly and Sophie Walczak and Bertha Fawcett and grandson Daniel Kasitz.
A visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 am on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. A service will follow at 11 am.
