Ruth M. (Myers) Heffentrager, 90, wife of Ray M. Heffentrager, of Quakertown, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at home.
Born in Doylestown, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Nora (Hunsberger) Myers.
Ruth was a graduate of Quakertown High School.
Together with her husband, they owned and operated the Heffentrager Excavating Company, starting in 1954. She also worked as the Milford Township’s secretary for 6 years.
Ruth was a member of Trinity Great Swamp UCC in Spinnerstown.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 67 years are four children, William Heffentrager husband of, Evelyn; Eric Heffentrager husband of, Doreen; Linda Ducellier all of Quakertown and Susan Ulmer of Harleysville; five siblings, Paul Myers of Fleetwood; Mildred Graf of Quakertown; Jane Moll, Richard Myers husband of, Eileen and Ray Myers all of Coopersburg; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four siblings, Frances Hagenbuch, Betty Hacker, Aaron, Jr. and Earl Myers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Trinity Great Swamp UCC, 9150 Spinnerstown Road, Spinnerstown, PA 18968 with Rev. David Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation from 10 am until 11 am Thursday at the church.
