Ruth Gross

Ruth K. (Yerk) Gross, 95, of Telford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Grand View Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred B. Gross with whom she shared 59 years of marriage before his passing in 2009.

Born in Tylersport, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Katie (Krause) Yerk.

Ruth worked for the former American Olean Tile for many years before retiring. She was a faithful and active member of Valley View Bible Church in Telford.

You could find Ruth at the auction sales searching for her next antique to bring home, in her flowerbeds tending to her beautiful flowers or in her kitchen baking. Ruth loved her home and took great pride in caring for it and making sure it always felt welcoming.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Timothy Gross, widower of Margaret and her daughter, Carol Gross; a grandson, Matthew Gross, and a great-granddaughter, Rhyleigh Palmer.
She is predeceased by a grandson, Scott Gross; and siblings, Wilmer, Helen, Eva, Bessie, Edna and Miriam.

A memorial service will be held by the family at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Valley View Bible Church, 315 Barndt Rd., Telford, PA 18969. Prior to the service, a graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM at New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery, 1070 Church Rd, East Greenville, PA 18041.
