Russell J. Underwood, 80, of Pennsburg, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Upper Bucks Campus. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth “Betty” C. (Meditz) Underwood, sharing 54 years of marriage together.
Born in Bristol, PA on June 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Percival and Elizabeth (Hanssens) Underwood.
Russell was a 1954 graduate of Abington High School and then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business from Delaware Valley University.
Russell served in the Army Reserves and worked in inventory control at General Dynamics in Avenel, NJ.
In his spare time, Russ enjoyed golfing and working on his antique car, a 1929 Hupp Mobile.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his three children, Karen Reed and husband, Charles, Susan Underwood and husband, Mark Brown and Russell Underwood, Jr.; three grandchildren, and siblings, P. George Underwood, Elizabeth Croak, Catherine Rantz, Patricia Thompson, Timothy Underwood and Charles Underwood.
He is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
