Roxanne R. (Kreider) May, 56, of Revere Avenue, Manchester, New Hampshire, formerly of East Greenville, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Ellsworth Joshua May celebrating 37 years of marriage on December 16th.
Born in East Greenville, PA she was the daughter of the late Milton and Jean (Best) Kreider.
She was a hairdresser starting her career at Holiday Hair in East Greenville and retiring from Visible Changes Hair Salon in Manchester, NH in 2008 after working there for 5 years. She also had worked at JD Hair Design in Montrose, PA for several years prior to relocating to New Hampshire.
She was a 1972 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, was a former member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pennsburg and loved flowers, gardening and her pets. She and her husband lived in Montrose, PA for 11 years and were involved in the High School and community events.
Surviving along with her husband are 2 sons, Ellsworth James May and wife, Rebecca Anne of Phoenixville, PA and Joshua Eli May and wife, Rebecca Marie of Bethlehem, PA and 2 brothers, Stanley Kreider and wife, Bonnie of Huff’s Church, PA and Michael Kreider and wife, Diane of the Boyertown, PA area.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Charles H. Romanowski officiating. Interment is in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
