Ronald E. Marks, formerly of the Upper Perkiomen Valley, passed away on Sunday, 12/1/2019, at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware, at the age of 77.
Ron was born in Sellersville to the late Ernest C. and Dorothy M. (Treichler) Marks. Ron was a self-employed business owner since 1975. Among his businesses were J’s Sandwich Shop, as well as direct mail marketing services.
He was an active member of the community. He was a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC. He was a past President of the Church Basketball League and Booster Clubs. He also played in a local men’s leagues in both fast-pitch softball and basketball.
He is survived by his daughters: Angela, wife of Matthew O’Brien, and Stacey Callueng, wife of Ronel, all of Wilmington, DE; Step-Children: Susan Helo, Scott Fessenden and A.J., husband of Chrissy Fessenden; Grandchildren: Cory Marks, Leah and Logan O’Brien, Shannah and Colton Callueng, Andrew Fessenden, and Cheyenne, Erika, and Daulton Helo; Great-Grandchildren: Jason and Nadia Marks; Brothers: Bruce, husband of Shirley Marks, of Minnesota; Brian Marks, of Philadelphia; Keith Marks and Tina Schwenk, of Pennsburg; and Kevin Marks, of East Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Allan, and brother Donald.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2 PM at The Loft at Sweet Water Golf Course, 2554 Geryville Pike, Pennsburg, PA 18073. The family will gather for a private burial. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home in East Greenville, PA.
