Robert D. Mack, 87, widower of Thelma R. (Gilbert) Mack, of Frye Road, Pennsburg, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at home.
Born in Red Hill, he was a son of the late Frank S. and Sallie B. (Barndt) Mack.
He owned and operated the Mack Dairy Farm for over 48 years retiring in 1996.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II serving in Italy.
He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Hill.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Nancy, wife of Donald Yerger, Sandra A., wife of Stephen Reeder, Patricia L., wife of Claude Walter and James R. Mack and his wife, Mary Alice, all of Pennsburg; a sister, Elsie Mack Rehak of Pennsburg; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by two sons, Robert D. Mack, Jr. and David C. Mack and a grandson, Scott S. Reeder.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. William A. Vanderslice officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
