Robert W. “Dancer” Lukens, 68, husband of Barbara (Donofry) Lukens, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Marion (Brown) Lukens.
Robert was a veteran of the US Army serving in the 101st Airborne division during the Vietnam War.
He was a truck driver for Home City Ice in East Greenville.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 234 in Souderton, Morwood Gun Club and Great Swamp Fish and Game. He also loved hunting, fishing, archery and motorcycles and enjoyed riding with the Legion Riders.
Surviving along with his wife of 25 years, is a daughter, Sherri Lynn Tim and husband, Brian of Bechtelsville and three grandchildren, Jeramie, Jennifer, and Jenelle.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Burial is private. There will be no viewing. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
