Robert W. Evans, 64, husband, of Barbara A. (Bandura) Evans, of Pennsburg, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Anna May (Loisch) Evans.
He worked as a Surveyor for 43 years for the Carpenters Union, Local #8 of Philadelphia.
Robert was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pennsburg.
He loved to read, watch movies and collect N scale trains.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 40 years, are three children, Heather Thomas of Allentown; Sean Evans of Philadelphia and Christopher Evans and Jennifer Rowland of Pennsburg; siblings, Lou Perry and wife, Terry of Saylorsburg; John Escue of Philadelphia; Sandra McGrath of Philadelphia and Patricia Morrison of Shickshinny, PA; Grandchildren, Landin and Maxwell Evans and Abigail Thomas; and a cousin, John Loisch, and wife, Anne of Philadelphia. He was predeceased by two siblings, Edward Evans and Eileen Delaney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 81 N. Main Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Charles A. Romanowski officiating. Burial follows in St. Mark’s Cemetery in Pennsburg. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the service.
