Richard W. Stull, 84, of Barto, passed away in the comfort of his home with his wife and niece, Stacy Kulp, by his side on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. He was the loving husband of Grace L. (Nester) Stull, with whom he would have shared 62 years of marriage this August.
Born in Clayton, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Styer) Stull- Smith.
Rich served his country proudly in the United States Navy during Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, he made a career as a well driller for 40 years, working at C.S. Garber & Sons in Boyertown. He then worked for Fronheiser Pools for four years delivering furniture to customers before his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Perkiomen Post 184 in Palm, VFW Post 5954 in Red Hill, The Orioles, and a former member of the Upper Perkiomen Sportsmen’s Association.
An outdoorsman, Rich loved fishing on his boat in Maryland and Peach Bottom and hunting in Huntingdon, Potter and Bradford Counties. He was also an avid camper and enjoyed camping with his wife and fun camping group. He especially enjoyed the trips to the Outer Banks with the camping group. He also enjoyed the several cruises taken with family and friends through the years, his favorite being cruising Alaska. Above all of this, he was most proud to be a husband, brother, Godfather and Uncle. He played an active role in their lives and always showered them with support, love and kindness. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Carole Nester; his God-Children, Deanna Stull, Brenda Bower, Cynthia Nester, David Nester and Kelly Hoffman; 13 nieces, 6 nephews, and 35 grand-nieces and -nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Stull.
