Richard Smith

December 11, 1930 — May 9, 2022

Richard G. Smith, 91, formerly of Hilltown, PA, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Traditions of Lansdale.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William B. and Mildred I. (Stewart) Smith.

He was a graduate of Norristown High School and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After honorable discharge, he worked for Philco Ford Plant in Lansdale, PA as a toolmaker for many years.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville, PA where he participated in missionary work.

Surviving are his three children, Kathleen Dunham and husband, Douglas of Quakertown, PA, Richard Smith and wife, Judy of Pennsburg, PA and Randy Smith and wife, Pamela of Quakertown, PA; nine grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Quinn, Betty Hazzard and Jean Malloy; and one brother, Daniel Smith and wife, Vivian. He is predeceased by siblings, William and Robert Smith and Jacqueline Yancik.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 10:45 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. You may offer condolences and share memories at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The American Legion Perkiomen Post 184, 744 Gravel Pike, East Greenville, PA 18041.
