Richard L. Mumbauer, 78, of Pennsburg died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Quakertown, he was a son of Mary J. (Matzo) Mumbauer of Pennsburg and the late Linwood Mumbauer.
He was a longtime butcher and owner of Mumbauer’s Butcher Shop in Pennsburg and also operated Mumbauer’s Landscaping.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in the Korean War.
He was a member of the Mumbauersville Gun Club.
Surviving along with his mother are a son, Richard J. Mumbauer and wife, Barbara of Pottstown; a brother, Ronald Mumbauer and wife, Sue of Red Hill; a sister, Linda Anewalt and husband, Richard of Bethlehem; two grandchildren, Brandon and Adam Mumbauer; a nephew, Erik of Allentown and five nieces, Stephanie of Bethlehem, Ashley of Allentown, Lisa and Diane, both of Quakertown and Yvonne of Jim Thorpe.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. David Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Great Swamp Cemetery, Spinnerstown. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
