Richard G. Kulp of Pennsburg passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. PA. He was 88 years old. He was married to his best friend, Dorothy E. (Moll) Kulp, for sixty-six years. Born in East Greenville, he was the second oldest of seven children born to the late Paul and Helen (Bauer) Kulp.
Richard served in the Navy during the Korean War and worked for over thirty years with Firestone Tire Company and Occidental Chemical Company, both of Pottstown, until his retirement.
He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ and a life member of the American Legion and VFW. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Pike Township Sportsman's Association, and various local fire companies.
Richard enjoyed spending time with his friends at NASCAR races, Indy car races, college football games, and most importantly, at his cabin in the mountains. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who always lived life to the fullest.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Maryann T. Cope and husband Scott, of Quakertown; Grandson: Corey Cope; Granddaughter: Melissa G. Schaffer and husband Ryan, of Emmaus; Great-Grandchildren: Colin, Andrew, and Sarah Schaffer; Siblings: Gerald Kulp and wife Gladys, of Gilbertsville; Priscilla Byndas, of Spring City; Darlene Grubb and husband Roy, of Pennsburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings: Leonard Kulp Sr., Jeannette Hettrick and Gloria Bobyak.
